4 year old Kindergarten

The 4 year old group operates on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays from 9.00am – 2.00pm. The children attend for three sessions per week.

4 year old kinder is a special year for children and families as they embrace the magic of the everyday moments, develop life long connections, and establish a love of learning and the skills they need to thrive in the years to come. Children have access to high quality materials and resources to support their imaginations, creativity, skill development and learning as they engage in real world work and meaningful play. The program supports an awareness of the natural world, with a focus on celebrating the seasons, and observing and learning from the beauty and wonder that can be found all around us. We foster environmentally responsible attitudes and behaviours and incorporate sustainability into all aspect of the program and routines. We work with a belief in the capability and potential of all children to take on challenges and succeed, and design experiences and strategies that support them in their independence, problem posing and solving, relationships and community ethics. We aim to develop strong community connections between the children, educators and the kinder families through working together, sharing in the journey, and celebrating small moments and big achievements together.

4 year old Bush Kinder

Bush kinder is a program that we run off-site, on the banks of Allsop creek, next to the Loch recreation reserve. The children are supported by the educators to lead their own play whilst immersed in nature. The creek is a space where children can investigate, explore, take risks and connect with the natural environment. Our bush kinder philosophy is based on the key principles of respect for self, respect for others and respect for the environment. Learning in, with and from nature is integral to and embedded in all aspects of the program.
